Even though it is just a short time since the last update, we have several bits of news to share with you.

First is the opportunity of a dream come true. We shared with a church our desire to have a walk-in refrigerator and freezer. With the increased number of people being served, the amount of food required has increased also. Perishable food needs safe handling and storage. We have been limited to the amount of fresh produce and fruit we can have available. Well, several weeks later the church came with the news they would like to fund half of the $15,000 cost of such a project. Praise God as He continues to bless us. With this news we went to our host church, Advent Lutheran, and shared the news. They came back and offered the storage room in the existing building as a place to build the walk-in. Hallelujah. Now we just have to raise the remaining funds and find someone to manage this project. What a great problem to have.

Second bit of news is Pastor Ray Olsen of Advent Lutheran Church is retiring this month after 38 years of service at Advent. Pastor Ray was an original founder of the food ministry 32 years ago. He has been a great friend and supporter to us and the community. We wish him God's peace and blessings as He transitions into a new stage of life.
